ABOUT

Vision

To nurture children with character, global awareness, confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning through a holistic education approach.

Mission

  • Develop children's potential holistically, encompassing cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and creative aspects.
  • Build a positive self-concept in children through exploration, social interaction, and emotional support.
  • Encourage children's courage in facing challenges, learning from mistakes, and striving to become the best version of themselves.
  • Instil global awareness by introducing cultural diversity, inclusivity, and environmental consciousness from an early age

JEYC’s Values

Our values guide everything we do — from the way we nurture each child’s growth to how we create meaningful learning experiences every day. Rooted in love, respect, and curiosity, these values shape the character of our learning community and support our commitment to holistic early childhood development.

  1. Holistic Education
  2. We use a holistic education approach at JEYC to help children grow in all areas, including their thinking, emotions, social skills, physical health, creativity, and values. Rather than focusing only on academics, this approach promotes learning through experiences, relationships, and self-discovery.

  3. Self-concept (Who am I?)
  4. Self-concept is how a person sees and understands themselves, including what they can do, what they believe in, their personality, and how they relate to others. At JEYC, we help children build a strong and positive self-concept so they feel confident, overcome challenges, and are eager to try new things.

  5. Champion Spirit
  6. We encourage a proactive and resilient mindset, where children face challenges bravely, learn from mistakes, aim for growth, and make a positive difference in the world. At JEYC, our focus is on self-improvement, effort, and teamwork rather than performance or just winning.

  7. Global Knowledge
  8. Having global knowledge means helping children learn about the world, different cultures, and how people are connected. This encourages curiosity, respect for others, and a sense of belonging. Teaching global knowledge early helps children grow into kind, open-minded individuals who appreciate diversity and understand their place in the world.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF JEYC

Jogja Early Years Centre (JEYC) was founded in 2025 with a mission to provide high-quality early childhood education that nurtures the whole child. The vision grew out of a shared passion among educators and parents who recognised the need for a school that values both local wisdom and global educational standards.

From the very beginning, JEYC has stood out by offering a unique Baby Class programme that starts at just 2 months old one of the first of its kind in the region. Recognising how critical the earliest months are for brain development, the school emphasises sensory stimulation, movement, and bonding between parent and child during this precious time.

As the school grew, so did its commitment to cultivating confident, compassionate, and curious learners through play-based exploration, meaningful relationships, and character-building experiences.

JEYC continues to grow as a joyful little universe where curiosity is celebrated, giggles are shared, and every day is an adventure in learning and growing, starting from the tiniest of learners.
