CURRICULUM

A. Baby Class Programmes (2–12 months)
Our Baby Class supports early development through two levels:
- Baby Class 1 (2–6 months)
- Baby Class 2 (7–12 months)
Activities focus on sensory stimulation, baby gym, and art & craft, guided by the UK developmental framework. Parents or guardians accompany their child to strengthen bonding and support learning.
B. Toddler Class Programmes (13–24 months)
Our Toddler Class continues to support early development through two levels:
- Toddler Class 1 (13–18 months)
- Toddler Class 2 (19–24 months)
In Toddler Class 1, we continue the programme from Baby Class, gradually increasing the challenge. When they enter Toddler Class 2, they will begin a gentle separation phase. Learners in Toddler Class will attend school three times a week without parental accompaniment. The programme includes sensory play, art, outdoor activities, and an introduction to toilet training. Learning is milestone-based and integrates Kurikulum Merdeka with the Cambridge Curriculum.
C. Preschool Program (2–4 years)
Divided into:
- Preschool 1 (2–3 years)
- Preschool 2 (3–4 years)
Children attend school from Monday to Friday for three hours each day. Two class times are available: Morning (08:00–10:00) and Noon (10:30–12:30). The curriculum balances structure with play, focusing on independence, early academics, and creativity. Activities include Circle Time, PE, Art, Music, Maths, Language, Religion, and Mandarin. Learning follows both the Cambridge Curriculum and Kurikulum Merdeka.
D. Kindergarten Program (4–6 years)
Divided into:
- Kindergarten 1 (K1) (4–5 years)
- Kindergarten 2 (K2) (5–6 years)
Children attend school Monday to Friday with longer periods from 07.30 to 14.30. K1 introduces phonics, early math, and social skills. K2 prepares children for primary school with reading, writing, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Throughout both levels, guided play and creative exploration remain essential, supporting holistic development through a blend of the Cambridge Curriculum and Kurikulum Merdeka.

After-School Activities (ASA) Program
The After School Activity (ASA) programme at Jogja Early Years Centre (JEYC) offers children opportunities to explore their interests, develop their talents, and strengthen their skills beyond the regular school curriculum. Designed to support holistic growth, our ASA options are carefully tailored to meet the needs of each age group.
For our youngest learners in Baby Class, Toddler Class, and Preschool Class, the ASA focuses on Child Development Optimisation Programs. These programmes are designed to support early growth milestones through specialised sensory, motor, cognitive, and social-emotional activities.
Our learners at Kindergarten levels may choose from a range of ASA options, categorised into:
- Sports (e.g., fun gym, swimming)
- Culture (e.g., traditional dance, ballet dance)
- Language (e.g., English club, Mandarin for fun)
- Arts (e.g., music class, creative painting)
- Science (e.g., robotic)
- Other Activities (e.g., cooking class, gardening)
Each ASA session runs for approximately 1-1.5 hours after the regular school day ends. One type of ASA is held once per week, and participation is optional. Enrolment in ASA activities requires an additional fee, which is separate from the regular school tuition. A detailed catalogue of ASA options, schedules, and fees will be shared with parents at the beginning of each term.
